NEVER LET GO Mark Romanek Is Sony's Top Choice For THE LOST SYMBOL!

When original director Ron Howard has opted out to direct Dan Brown's latest blockbuster novel THE LOST SYMBOL after previously tackled THE DA VINCI CODE (2006) and ANGELS & DEMONS (2009), speculations has been raised of who's going to take over the director's chair instead. Now Sony has apparently found their replacement -- Mark Romanek (NEVER LET GO), who has emerged as frontrunner to helm THE LOST SYMBOL.

Steven Knight and Dan Brown are responsible for the adapted screenplay, while Tom Hanks, who play Robert Langdon in the first two installments, is expected to return as well.
